How You Can Become a Top Farmer on FarmVille

FarmVille is a phenomenon of this Web 2.0 world we live in. At once the most popular and the most detested game linked to the Facebook social networking site, it has developed a huge and loyal following around the world and a lot of people want to know how they can become the top farmer!

Here's some advice that should help you do just that in the FarmVille game. First up, you need a strategy.

The first thing to be decided is the goal of your farm. Are you looking to expand it? The quickest way to do this is to expand with your neighbours. If you would like to earn coins quicker, focus on purchasing crops that will give you a quick reward for your investment, and then buy more of the same.

If you're a player who wants to get the latest features of the FarmVille game, hold on to those coins a bit longer and have patience. If not, you'll spend it all and have nothing left for the new features when they arrive!

Spend carefully. If you're set on leveling up and expanding your FarmVille farm, don't spend much on animals or trees as they are a big drain on your resources and don't offer much in the way of rewards. You could try to sell your animals or give them as gifts to other FarmVille players (who may then return the favour with other stuff).

To earn more, you could consider helping out on other players' farms for money. Be careful with this idea though, and focus on favours that will reap the best rewards for you. These are just some of the easy and practical ways you can become a better farmer in the world of FarmVille, and there are many more Farmville game tips to be found online!

Is Buying a FarmVille Guide Worth It?

I have to admit, I was pretty skeptical when I first started seeing FarmVille guides popping up. I mean, I'd never really played the game, but from the name I assumed there couldn't be all that much to it. After all, how much strategy could possibly go into building a virtual farm? But once I started seeing these guides, I figured it'd be worth taking a shot at the game to see what all the hubbub could possibly be about.

And I was actually rather surprised. Building my own virtual farm was much more enjoyable than I'd imagined it would be. Part of that was because there really were a lot of options and a lot of decisions to make. The more I played the game, the more I realized that there probably could be a lot of helpful information in a guide because there were just too many ways you could play.

I was doing alright on my own, but I was getting more and more curious about what I might be missing out on. After I reached level 13 and was having a hard time getting farther, I decided to give one of the guides a shot. I bought FarmVille Secrets, a relatively new guide and pretty up to date on the latest additions to the game. I really wasn't expecting too much, but this guide just blew me away.

In no time, I was the Cream of the Crop, a level 24 farmer with a Big Family Farm and tons of neighbors to visit. Using the tips in this guide helped me way more than I thought they would – even when I read them. There's a lot more to this farming stuff than meets the eye. I'd recommend picking up a copy of FarmVille Secrets if you're interested in getting the most out of your FarmVille experience.

How to Make the Most Money in FarmVille

FarmVille is a great place to go to escape the rigors of everyday life. You can get back to nature and enjoy the peace and tranquility that comes from working on the land. However, not everything in FarmVille is an escape from the ordinary. You still need money for just about everything you do. You have to buy the seeds to plant, and you'll even have to pay a small sum for each plot of land you plow.

These costs are easily managed of course because you're harvesting and selling your crops for more than it cost to plant them. There are a lot of other items you can buy in the FarmVille market to decorate and build up your farm, and you won't be able to get these without some significant sums of cash. Buying these items will also get you some much needed experience points to help you advance to the next level, so you'll have to find a way to make sure you have enough money for all the discretionary items you want to buy.

Earnings Per Hour

Because you'll be needing your coins for so much in FarmVille, you need to maximize the earning potential of your farm. The best way to do this is to figure out which crops pay out the most coins per hour. For example, strawberries sell for 35 coins per plot of land harvested and they take 4 hours to grow. Pumpkins, on the other hand, take 8 hours to grow and sell for 68 coins per plot of land harvested.

That means, for the same acreage planted, you'll earn 8.75 coins per hour by planting strawberries, while the pumpkins will only get you 8.5 coins per hour. This may seem like a small difference, but these small amounts can add up fast. Of course, you won't be getting your money's worth unless you can harvest the crops as soon as they're ready and immediately replant on that land.

A Quick Turnaround

If you're not going to be able to get back to your farm for 8 hours, you're much better off planting the pumpkins. The longer you leave a crop after it's done maturing, the less you'll be getting per hour once you harvest it. You can only make money fast on crops that mature quickly if you're going to be able to harvest and replant as soon as they're ready for sale. Make sure you take these details into consideration when you're selecting your seeds at the Market, and you'll be seeing your bank account swelling in no time.
